Fred "Fritz" Wendt, 76, of Seymour, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2016, at Century Oaks in Appleton. He was born April 28, 1940, son of late George and Mae (Schaumberg) Wendt. On November 5, 1960, he was united in marriage to Jeanette Kaddatz.
Fred retired from Appleton Papers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling, the Green Bay Packers, and most of all time spent with family. Fred was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; children: Kurt (Tammy) Wendt, Todd (Karri) Wendt; grandchildren: Cole, Brandon (Teresa), Lucas (fiancAC.e Kara), Rachael (fiancAC. Luke); one great-grandson, Domanick; siblings: Richard (Janet) Wendt, Everette (Diane) Wendt, Mae (Dale) Daelke, Joan and Dorothy Wendt; mother-in-law, Lila Kaddatz; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Carlton (Sharon) Kaddatz, June (Tom) Jentz, Allen (Sharon) Kaddatz.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Dillon; brothers and sisters, Chester, George, Dallas, Lenard, Darold, Lela, Louis, Donna, Julene and Val; and father-in-law, Elmer Kaddatz.
Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. and visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Black Creek from 9:30 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Schlicht officiating. Burial will take place in the Ellington Cemetery.
