Eutimio Talavera

Eutimio Talavera, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

Eutimio was born on May 31, 1949 in Mezquitic, Jalisco Mexico to Julian Talavera and the late Maria Consuelo Villagrana.

Eutimio moved to Chicago, IL in the mid 1970s where he met his former wife, the late Harriet A. Kindness. Eutimio lived in Chicago for many years before moving to Wisconsin in 1991.

Eutimio was a dedicated employee of the Oneida Nation until his death. He took pride in the work he did. Eutimio loved to cook and was known in the community as the local tamale man.

Eutimio was an avid Chicago Cubs and Green Bay Packer fan.

Eutimio was a very kind man who placed his family above all else. He was loved by the Oneida community. He always had a smile on his face and a joke to tell. He loved to make people laugh and was liked by everyone he met.

Eutimio is survived by his children Rietta Talavera, Eutimio Talavera Jr. and Octavio Talavera, his father the great Don Julian Talavera, his brother Genaro (Margarita), his sister Rosadelia (David) his grandchildren Abigaila Talavera , Ari "Little Fajita" Wilder, Octavio Talavera and Leonardo Talavera. He was further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Comerita Talavera; son Douglas Boyd, his mother Maria, his brother Octavio, his nephew Orlando, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Eutimio will be held at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home on Friday January 26 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral mass will be held at Annunciation of The Blessed Virgin Mary, 401 Gray Street, Green Bay on Saturday January 27, at 11:00 AM with Fr. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Additional visitation will be held at church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Eutimio will be laid to rest privately at a later date.
