Elvira Sievert Bishop, 96, of Black Creek passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home after a short illness. She was born March 18, 1916 daughter of the late Edward and Caroline (Nitzband) Holz.
Elvira was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek and a member of the Ladies Aid.
She enjoyed traveling, bowling, swimming, gardening, bingo, playing cards, and reading.
Survivors include her son Ronald (Shirley) Sievert; grandson Troy Sievert; granddaughter Lisa Sipe; great-grandchildren: Karrah, Seth, Brett, and Michael; nieces, nephews, and friends. Also survived by sisters-in-law Margaret Moeller and Ellen Holz.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her two husbands: Roman Sievert and Roland Bishop; brothers: Gilbert, Marvin, and Alvin; sisters: Lorena Peters, Jeannie Kruse, and Irma Wichman.
Friends may call at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek on Friday, January 4, 2013 from 9:00 am until services at 11:00 am with Pastor Steve Schlicht and Pastor John Brandt officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Online condolences may be expressed at

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Elvira's memory to the Immanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid.
Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.
