Donna Mae Lubinski

April 17, 1960 — March 23, 2026

Donna Mae Lubinski, 65, of Seymour, passed away unexpectedly following a brief hospital stay. She was born on April 17, 1960, daughter of Duane and Virginia (Scheibe) Doersch. Donna grew up in Seymour and graduated from Seymour High School with the Class of 1978. She continued her education in cosmetology, where she nurtured a natural gift for helping others feel confident and cared for-an expression of compassion she carried throughout her life.

On September 20, 1980 she was united in marriage to Richard Lubinski. This past year, they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.

Donna's life was defined by love-love for her family, her church, her community, and the many passions that brought her joy. She treasured time spent with her family and especially delighted in playing with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Donna had a deep appreciation for nature and could often be found tending to her extensive flowerbeds, cultivating beauty through her gardening and sharing that beauty with others.

Her dedication to Emmanuel Lutheran Church was a meaningful part of her life. Donna gave generously of her time through various volunteer committees and especially enjoyed coordinating weddings, where her eye for detail and her warm, steady presence made every celebration special. She also had a natural gift for decorating, creating spaces that felt welcoming and thoughtfully arranged. She will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the joy she brought to every gathering.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard "Dick" Lubinski; her daughters: Lauren (Kevin) Brunette, Alli (Eric) Mullen, and Katie (Trent) Ziegler; and her cherished grandchildren: Grace, Anna, Eve, Oliver, and Maxwell. Donna is also survived by her parents, Duane and Virginia Doersch; and her brothers: Dan (Kitty) Doersch, David (Joy) Doersch, and Dean (Diane) Doersch. She is also survived by Dick's siblings: Jane (John) Clegg, Robert Lubinski, Ann (Randy) Reed and brother-in-law, Pat Klass, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Vernon and Evelyn Lubinski; and sisters-in-law: Kathi Lubinski and Mary Klass.

Visitation for Donna will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 12 noon, with Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating. Burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery at a later date.
