Donald Melotte

Seymour- Donald J Melotte Jr., age 90, died Monday, May 2, 2022, at a local hospital. He was born on June 13, 1931, in Green Bay to the late Donald and Noreen (Lemerond) Melotte Sr.

He was united in marriage to Joyce B. Heuser on October 1, 1955, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Isaar. She preceded him in death on June 13, 1999.

Don enjoyed his cottage up north with family and friends, liver and onions the first Wednesday of the month, friends he made along the way from WI to Florida. He was always excited to hear from Jean-Louis Poirier a foreign exchange student from France, with whom he had stayed in contact with, and he had visited in France. He enjoyed gatherings in Kaukauna with Donna, her family and the many neighbors and friends, ... and the special gift of a blanket from the girls in the neighborhood. You all were a special part of his life.

Don is survived by his six children: Lou Ann (Michael Grathen) Zegers, Bruce (Laura) Melotte, Kathleen (Daniel) Nelson, Craig (Kim) Melotte, Barbara (Robert) Kuehnl, Cheryl (Jonathon) Goltz; his special friend of 22 years Donna Hoffman; grandchildren: Kristen Zegers, Emily (Nathan) Laws, Jolene Melotte, Jessica Melotte, Andrea (Jane) Ackerman, Lauren Nelson, Paul (Hannah) Nelson, Raymond Melotte, Philip Melotte, Grant (Hannah) Kuehnl, Blake Kuehnl, Shalyn (fiancé Cody Mauthe) Kuehnl, Xaiver (Nicole) Noel; great-grandchildren: Carter Kuehnl, Logan, Landon, and Lily Noel, Irma Melotte-Johnson, Krew Pecha, and Nora Nelson; one brother, Ken (Shirley) Melotte; two sisters: Janice (Dan) Hansen and Virginia (Gaylord) Marcks; sisters-in-law: Sharon Melotte, Diane Melotte, and Judy Trow; brother-in-law, Phillip (Janet) Heuser; nieces, nephews and many friends

He was preceded in death by two brothers: John "Jack" Melotte, David Melotte; sisters-in-law: Joan Melotte, Dorothy (Heuser) Zanskas; brothers-in-law: William Heuser, Robert Heuser.

Visitation will take place at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 South Main St. Seymour, WI 54165 on Sunday, May 8, 2022 from 4 p.m. until the parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, May 9, 2022 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, Isaar at 9 a.m. until the funeral mass at 11 a.m. with Fr. Sengole Arockia Dass, O.Praem and Dcn. Richard Matuszak officiating. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of floral expressions a memorial fund has been established.
