Denise Polakowski

December 16, 1960 — October 7, 2023

Denise C. (Kuehne) Polakowski, age 62, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on Saturday, October 7, 2023 with her family by her side. Denise was born on December 16, 1960 to Ione (Ossmann) Kuehne and the late Richard Kuehne.

She married the love of her life Steve on February 10, 2007 and they enjoyed 16 wonderful years of marriage. Denise's greatest accomplishments are her 3 daughters and 8 grandchildren. She could not spoil or hug them enough.

Denise enjoyed sitting around a fire, roasting marshmallows, making smores and lighting off fireworks with her grandchildren which brought her many hours of enjoyment. Denise was an avid Packer, Badger and Brewer fan. She also liked to go camping, fishing, planting and tending to her flowers and her indoor plants.

Denise had many items on her bucket list and though not all were met she was able to attend her first Badger game on September 16, 2023.

Denise had many jobs over her lifetime, but her most favorite was working at Johnson Brothers for the past 8 years. She loved the good people she me at the stores and for the most part, the job itself. Denise will truly be missed by her family. We are truly heartbroken by this unexpected curveball that life has thrown our way.

In addition to her husband Steve, Denise is survived by her daughters: Paula Stark (fiancé Luis) children Lanz, Britaney, Breena, James and Havier; Jenifer Stark and her daughter Ember; Danielle Stark (fiancé Justin) daughters Nevaeh and Emily, Justin's children: Blake, Audrey and Savannah. She is further survived by her mother, Ione Kuehne, her sisters: Brenda (Steve) Taubel, Jacalyn (Norb) Van Kauwenberg, and Michele (Ron) Duncan; and brother, Michael (Carol) Kuehne; aunt, Elaine Court; uncle, Vernon (Janette) Ossmann, uncle, Carl Kuehne; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Denise was preceded in death by her father, Richard; brother, Charlie; grandparents: Carl and Esther Kuehne, Ernest and Alma Ossmann; aunts, uncles and cousins.
