Debra L. Court, age 73, passed away after a brief illness on April 30th, 2025. She was born on July 8, 1951 to the late Vern and Violet (Buss) Hinz in Shawano, Wisconsin.
Debby graduated from Bonduel High School in1969 then went to Concordia University and graduated in 1973 with a teaching degree. She loved teaching and taught throughout her life; from piano lessons to English. Even though she retired that did not stop her from correcting her family's grammatical errors up until her last day.
Debby met her RFL (Reason For Living), Robert Court at a softball game in 1972. After a two year courtship they married on June 15, 1974. Together they raised their two sons on a farm in Black Creek.
Debby enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing, quilting, gardening, music, and reading; but her true passion was traveling with her RFL including: Japan, Germany, Kenya, China, Hawaii, and most states. She truly understood the meaning of community and volunteered countless hours with several civic groups including American Legion Auxiliary Post 106 in Seymour, Emmanuel Lutheran Quilters, Seymour Library and Badger Girls State. Being of extremely strong faith she was a lifelong member of a Lutheran Church and served in several church committees and councils; also served as the Sunday School Super Intendent.
Debby found great pleasure making her 13 glorious grandchildren pillow cases, quilts, and doll clothes. She knew everyone from Bonduel to Appleton, and halfway around the world. She always made friends wherever she went. Debby also enjoyed exploring her family genealogy and collection of family treasures.
Debby is survived by her husband Robert of 50 years, 10 months and 15 days; her two blessed sons: Jed (Kristie) and their children; Mathew, Jacob, Emma, Hannah, Noah, Alaina, Joelle, Naomi, Malachi and Asher; Jason (Jenni) and their children; Dallas, Aidan and Bryce; her siblings: Donna (Jack) Niles and Dianne (George Block) Hinz; mother-in-law, Elaine Court; sister-in-law's: Janet (Jeff) Lopas and Julie (Dean) Pues; many nieces and nephews. Special family friends; Destiny Jones and Saara Rinne.
Debby was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Archie Court and brother-in-law, James Court.
