Cynthia "Cindy" Peeters, age 74 of Briarton passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025.
She was born on September 17, 1951, the daughter of the late Lavern "Bud" and Beatrice (Dingeldein) Wagester. Cindy graduated from Bonduel High School in 1969, and continued her education at UW Stevens Point earning a BS degree in education. Later, she earned a second degree in special education from Silver Lake College. She taught a combined 34 years in the school districts of De Pere and Bonduel (Navarino). She loved her profession and the students she taught.
On November 13, 1981, Cindy was married to the love of her life, Darwin "Butch" Peeters, who preceded her in death on November 4, 2016. They were married a week short of 35 years. Together, they took over the Wagester's family farm where they raised their two daughters, Cami and Cara. Later, they were blessed with two very special grandsons, Dominic and Landon, whom they loved dearly. They spent time babysitting their grandsons, cherishing the time spent with them. They were also active vendors in area flea markets including Shawano, Princeton, and Crivitz. They enjoyed auctions and finding special treasures.
Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, Butch; parents: Bud and Beatrice Wagester; in-laws: Monica (Young) and Leland Peeters; great-nephew: Beau Wagester; grandparents: George and Dorothy (Jarik) Wagester, Levi and Ann (Gipp) Dingeldein; and special aunts, uncles, and cousins; special friends: Fran Johnson, Sue Boerst, and Bob Robinson.
Cindy is survived by her loving daughters: Cami Peeters and Cara (Sam) Kelley; her special grandsons: Dominic and Landon Kelley; her brother, Mark (Jeanette) Wagester; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dan (Val) Peeters, Dennis (Debbie) Peeters, Cindy (Joe) Meridam, Larry (Robin) Peeters, Judy (Jim) Hesse, and Tim Peeters; many special nieces and nephews; and Cindy's very special friends: Debbie Hagel, Jane Naparalla, Barb Wudtke, Sandy Robinson, Gloria Schultz, and Sandy Quandt; and special neighbors: Jeff (Wendy) Roubal and Dennis (Janice) Rohr.
Visitation will take place Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home in Seymour on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 from 4:00 pm until the funeral service at 6:30 pm with Pastor Moira Finley officiating. A private burial will take place at St. Lawrence Catholic Cemetery in Navarino.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund for the family has been established in Cindy's name.
