Clifford "Dewey" Klitzke

October 17, 1937 — November 15, 2019

Clifford "Dewey" Klitzke, 82, Seymour, passed away Friday evening, November 15, 2019, at Meadow Wood Assisted Living in Seymour. The son of Harry and Luella (Witt) Klitzke was born October 17, 1937, in the Town of Osborn, and was a 1955 graduate of Seymour High School. After high school Dewey enlisted in the National Guard and served his country for 11 years. On August 1, 1964, he married Sandra Page at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.

In his younger years Dewey worked at Chuck's Auto, the Red Owl, and Bronson Electronics. He later worked at Seymour Canning, and worked at Shiocton Kraut (Bush Brothers) for 25 years until his retirement. Serving others was Dewey's greatest passion in life; he found tremendous joy in giving his time and talents to others. He was a "life member" of the Seymour Fire Department, and was also a charter member of the Seymour Lions Club. Dewey was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and greatly enjoyed bowling. Dewey and Sandy tended bar for many years at Wally's, Frank's, and Pine Castle. Dewey had been a devoted husband to Sandy; she has been residing at Brewster Village for the past 28 years, living with M.S.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy, Appleton (Brewster Village); one daughter, Lisa (Todd) Goodwin, De Pere; three grandchildren: Paige Goodwin, New York, Alec Goodwin, De Pere, and Morgan Goodwin, De Pere; two sisters: Caroline Kazik, West DePere, and Edith (Tom) Bakran, Green Bay; one sister-in-law, Joan (John) Wagner; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dewey was preceded in death by two brothers: Harold (Elaine) Klitzke, and Allen (Regina) Klitzke; three sisters: Bernice (LeRoy) Hammel, Jeanett (Roy) Schroeder, and Marcella (Leon) Rusch; and two brothers-in-law: Herman Kazik and William "Billy" Page.

Friends may call at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main Street, Seymour, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2019. Visitation continues at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 349 N. Main Street, Seymour, on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Ty Stoneburner officiating, followed by military honors. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.

The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Meadow Wood Assisted Living and the Seymour Rescue Squad for their care and concern as well as the staff of the Appleton VA (John H. Bradley) Clinic.
