DIERMEIER, CLARENCE J.

Clarence J. Diermeier, age 78, of Black Creek passed away Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Cherry Meadows with his family by his side. He was born September 6, 1930 to the late Anthony and Mary (Nussbaum) Diermeier in Minnesota. On August 7, 1951 he was united in marriage to Ethel Last.

Clarence was employed with Center Valley Coop for 44 years retiring in 1994. He then worked for his sons at Black Creek Hardware and Services. In 1997 he worked part-time for the City of Seymour, Outagamie Co. Court Bailiff and his favorite job at Johnson's Hardware in Shiocton. He was a member for many years of the Town of Center Fire Department serving over 40 years. He was a 4-H Leader and served on the Center Valley Credit Union Board. Clarence was also a Knights of Columbus member and a Black Creek Lions Club member. He was a member of St. Edwards Catholic Church in Mackville.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel and their 16 children: Donna (Doug) Langner, Appleton; Linda (Glen) Lemmers, Shiocton; Debra (Bruce) Nelson, New London; Patty (Bernie) Huettl, Eau Claire; Paula (Ray) Helms, Seymour; Theresa Abel, Larson; Tim Diermeier, Black Creek; Lori (Bill) Thiel, Seymour; Sara (Tom) Anderson, Iola; Bill Diermeier, Black Creek; Barb (Mike) Gregorius, Black Creek; Ron (Donna) Diermeier, Dallas, TX; Dean (Michelle) Diermeier, Eden Prairie, MN; Doug (Darla) Diermeier, Elk Mound; 37 grandchildren: David, Daniel, Dennis, Dianna, Debra (Mike), Glen (Missy), Michael, Carl (Sara), Nick, Heather (Sam), Bernnie III, Tony, Josh, Adam (Missy), Sarah, Chris (Becky), Kelly, Caroline, Kristen, Stephanie, Amanda (C.J.), Nathan (Kelly), Isaac, Brook, Brett, Kim (Mike), Michelle, Elizabeth, Spencer, Brandon, Matthew, Alexia, Abby, Ashton, Zachary, McKenna and Kamron; 9 great-grandchildren: Brandon, Cole, Bella, Gianna, Emmalle, Carter, Alisha, Austin and Riley. He is further survived by his sisters: Lois Kllika, Readfield; Margie (John) Kramer, Black Creek; Alice Van Dyke, Neenah; Dorothy (Alvin) Kramer, Black Creek; his brothers: Jim (Jackie) Diermeier, Green Bay and Jerry (Nancy) Diermeier, Kaukauna.

He was preceded in death by one son, Richard, godchildren, Bob Kramer and Sue Minlschmidt.

Visitation will take place at St. Edward's Catholic Church, Mackville on Thursday, December 18, 2008 from 4 PM until 8 PM with a prayer service at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, December 19, 2008 at St. Edwards Catholic Church from 9:30 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM with Father Mark VanderSteeg officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to the Seymour Cancer Relay for Life.
