Caroline Kazik

June 1, 1931 — August 20, 2023

Caroline Marie Kazik, 92, West De Pere, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

The daughter of Harry and Luella (Witt) Klitzke was born June 1, 1931 in the town of Osborn and was a 1949 graduate of Seymour High School.

On February 23, 1951 she married Herman J. Kazik.

Caroline was a devoted wife and Herman's partner while farming on the Kazik farm on S. Overland Road, De Pere, where all five of their children were raised: Ted, Terry, Charlie, Joyce and Janet.

After they moved the family off the farm, Caroline drove school bus for Lamer's Bus Lines for over 10 years taking kids to and from school and drove busloads of kids to sporting events for the WDP Phantoms.

Then Caroline went on to work at Woodside Lutheran Nursing Home as the head cook/baker. At one time Caroline was a resident at Woodside while she recouped from her hip replacement surgery and was able to see and visit with many of the individuals she trained/worked with during her tenure there. They were still asking her for her recipes.

Caroline's biggest joy in life was to cook for others, especially her family. It didn't have to be a Holiday, she just loved to cook big meals and have everyone come to the house to eat and enjoy, which we did!

Survivors include her sons: Ted Kazik, West De Pere; Charlie (Jodi) Kazik, West De Pere; daughters: Joyce (Ricky) Brumlic, West De Pere; Janet Kazik, De Pere; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, which she loved with no hesitation; one sister, Edith (Tom) Bakran, Green Bay; many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Kazik; son, Terry Kazik; grandchildren: Kevin Kazik, Luella Gallegos, Justin Kazik; three brothers: Harold (Elaine) Klitzke, Allen (Regina) Klitzke, Cliff Klitzke; three sisters: Bernice (LeRoy) Hammel, Jeanette (Roy) Schroeder, Marcella (Leon) Rusch.

We will smell the aroma of her meals from Heaven very soon.
