Bonnie Huettl

February 3, 1942 — May 19, 2025

It is with great sadness that we recognize the peaceful passing of our loving wife, sister, aunt, sister-in-law and friend Bonnie Gibbon Huettl on May, 19th at the age of 83. Bonnie was born on February 3rd, 1942 in Clear Lake Wisconsin to Russell (Doc) and Helen Gibbon.

After graduating Valedictorian of her 1960 class in Ashland Wisconsin, she attended Northland College. In 1964 she moved to Seymour Wisconsin, where she taught Physical Education at the local high school. She subsequently taught a year in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, before returning to Seymour to work in the Black Creek school district, and later retiring in 2005. Many of her former students remained friends throughout Bonnie's life.

It was in Seymour that Bonnie met the love of her life and beloved husband of 55 years, Larry Huettl. She swooned over his GTO convertible and for decades tolerated his flock of homing pigeons while supporting his ongoing allegiance to the Green Bay Packers!

Bonnie was known for her unwavering love and support of her family. After the deaths of her parents Bonnie dedicated herself to keeping the family intact and provided a loving home for her younger brother Mike.

Bonnie was known for her laugh, wry sense of humor and a menagerie of little doggies who always sported very strange names. Bonnie loved Luettl Puettl Huettl, Fru-Fru, Beeler and Maynard Mae who could always be found yapping or perched comfortably on her lap.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her brothers Steve and Mike, and is survived by brothers Dan and Tom.

Bonnie was blessed with many close friends, and special thanks go to Judy Nelson, Chris Skenandore, and Pam Huettl who graced her life to the very end.

As per Bonnie's wishes no memorial service is planned and any remembrances in her honor may go to a charity of your choice.

We love you and will always miss you dearest Bonnie.
