Bernice M. Eick, age 92, passed away Monday morning, September 14, 2009 at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Seymour. She was born December 25, 1916, daughter of the late William and Lena (Schmidt) Prelipp. On May 4, 1935, she was united in marriage to Earl Eick. After 63 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on February 14, 1999.
Bernice enjoyed croqueting and making afgans. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Seymour.
She is survived by her children: Gerald (Harriet) Eick, Seymour; Sally Kools, St. Petersburg, FL; grandchildren: Wylie (Ron) Leisgang, Wendy Eick, Jeff (Jennifer) Eick, John Burmeister, Pamela (Matt) Reed, Matthew (Jessica) Burmeister; 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Bernice was preceded in death by: an infant son, Ronald and a son-in-law John.
