Bernard A. Stephani, age 71, of Seymour, passed away at home on Friday, November 23, 2007. He was born August 24, 1936 to the late Isadore and Hazel (Hanson) Stephani. He graduated from Shiocton High School in 1954 and married Eva Samson on June 7, 1958 in Seymour.

Bernie worked for Kuehne's for many years prior to employment with AI Breeding. Bernie and Eva later operated the Countryside Cafe in Black Creek for 13 years until he began working with Huettl Transport. He later retired as a manager from Madison Freight in 2004.

Bernie farmed all his life and was active with the FFA and also served as President of 4-H for Outagamie County.

In addition to farming and horses, he enjoyed spending time as "Dr. Pa" with is grandchildren. Bernie was fond of traveling, had a passion for baking, and loved to tell jokes and old stories. He was also known to always be helping others in various ways.

In addition to his wife Eva, he is survived by 2 children: Jerry (Janet) Stephani of Appleton and JoAnn (Dan) Green of Seymour; his grandchildren: Amber and Vicki Stephani and Steve and Mike Green. He is also survived by a brother Tom (Louise) Stephani of New London and a sister Doris (Fred) Stoeger of Medina.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call to the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home from 4 to 8 P.M. on Monday, November 26, 2007 with a parish prayer service at 7:30 P.M. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 from 9:30 to 11 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Seymour. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 A.M. with Fr.
