Ben Kleist

Ben William Kleist, 72, of Shiocton, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 30, 1945 son of the late Harold and Doris (Eake) Kleist.

On June 18, 1966 he was united in marriage to Janice Ready.

Ben worked with father on the family farm for many years.

He loved to garden, farming, enjoyed fishing, and was an avid reader.

Ben is survived by his wife, Janice; children: Randy (Shari) Kleist and Heather (Brian) Speering; three grandchildren: Andrew, Riley, and Abby; four siblings: Sally (Gerry) Kalt, Lynn (Charlie) Ness, Steve, and Carl Kleist; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Jonathan; brother, Kenneth; sister-in-law, Cindy Kleist.

A memorial service for Ben will take place at a later date. Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, is assisting the family with arrangements.
