Amy Jo Hertwig

Amy Jo Hertwig, formerly of Gillett, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2026 at the age of 50. Amy was born on November 12, 1975 in Green Bay to Dennis and Linda (Scott) Hujet.

Amy loved being around all her kids, grandkids and family. She loved the outdoors and adventures with family and all the holiday family get togethers. She loved music of all kinds and enjoyed getting out to live shows. She had a love of all things butterflies and Christmas. She liked going out to antique stores and collecting uranium glass, along with glass figurines and old media formats. One thing she always wanted to do was ride an ostrich, someday she will. She had met some wonderful people in this life and had brought joy to all. Her love will have an everlasting impact on all her family and everyone she has met.

Amy is survived by her boyfriend, Neal Vanden Heuvel; her children: Briana Rudie, Nicholas Hertwig, Casey Hertwig, Alexis Lupe, and Jon Lupe; stepson, Jonathon Vanden Heuvel; stepdaughter, Natalie Vanden Heuvel; grandchildren: Emma Busch, Holten May and Bode May; mothers: Linda (Scott) Waldvogel and Jan (Peters) Vanden Heuvel; step-father, Rod Waldvogel; father in-law, Dave Vanden Heuvel; sister, Tracy (Waldvogel) Martinson and husband Dallas Martinson; sister in-law, Jennifer (Vanden Heuvel) Westenberger and husband Josh Westenberger; nephews: Austin Martinson and Zayden Martinson; niece, Briana Westenberger.

Amy is preceded in death by her father, Dennis; grandparents: Patricia and Roy Hujet.
