Alan Meiers

Alan "Al" Meiers, passed away on June 7, 2026 at the age of 73. Al was born on July 5, 1952 in Appleton, WI to Oscar and Lois (Wilson) Meiers.

Al was employed at Pierce Manufacturing for 24 years before he pursued his true passion. He opened Al's Taxidermy Studio in Neenah 30 years ago. He then moved his studio closer to home in Navarino.

Al and Ruthann spent years traveling together in the United States and Canada. In their younger years they spent the spring time on fishing trips to northern Wisconsin.

Al is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ruthann (Wilber). Al is further survived by his sister Lanette Van Cuick, brother-in-law Doug (Julie) Wilber, sister-in-law Debora Wilber, nieces and nephews and many friends.

Al is preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary.

Funeral services for Al will be held on Saturday June 13th at 11:00 AM at Ascension Lutheran, W6106 Navarino Road, Shiocton, with Pastor Mark Sabin officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of services. Al will be laid to rest privately at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Ascension Lutheran Church in Al's name are appreciated.
