Adam F. Smith, 25, of Seymour passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025 as a result of a worksite accident. He was born April 12, 2000 a son of David and Heidi (Sumnicht) Smith in Green Bay.
Growing up Adam was very involved with Scout Troop 117 in Seymour and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He was also a proud member of the Sons of the American Legion Squadron 106.
He graduated from Seymour High School in 2018. Adam also attended Fox Valley Tech for Construction Management.
As a young man Adam entered the construction field working for Jon Taubel Construction before becoming an equipment operator for Michels Construction and a member of Local 139 Wisconsin Operating Engineers. He also enjoyed anything to do with construction and building. His passion for building and creating was evident in the craftsmanship he demonstrated, and he took great pride in seeing his work come to life.
Adam enjoying doing a wide variety of activities. It wasn't unusual for him to be doing a woodworking project, going ice fishing, being out hunting, being on the snowmobile, or dropping a line in the water during the summer. He was an "old soul" that gravitated towards helping others when they needed a hand.
He is survived by his parents, David and Heidi; brother, Noah; maternal grandparents: Donna and Stan Sumnicht; aunts and uncles: Sheila (Tom) Melchior; Barb Joki, Jackie (Randy) Wall, Chris Smith, Gary (Tara) Smith, and Shannon (Tonya) Smith. Further survived by cousins, other special relatives, and many friends.
Adam was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Ron Smith and June Weber; and an uncle, Paul Joki.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm at Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 am with the visitation beginning at 9:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in memory of Adam are appreciated.
