He then operated his own sawmill and logging operation. Mike had also worked for many years for Tombstone Pizza and owned a pressure washer company. Prior to retirement he drove dump truck.

On September 2, 2000, he was united in marriage to Judy Campbell.

He was a true outdoorsman, being a serious hunter and avid fisherman. Mike enjoyed being a gun enthusiast, loading his own ammunition and figuring out how to make each gun function better.

Mike was always excited about his hunting trips to Kansas, and also hunted in Colorado and Minnesota. He also loved spending his winters in Texas for the past four years.

More than anything else, he loved his family and his grandchildren, lovingly referring to them as his “grand-angels”. He always looked forward to attending his grandchildren’s events and teaching them about the outdoors.
