Beverly J. (Zuleger) Diemel

December 9, 1946 ~ November 4, 2018 (age 71)
Beverly “Bev” Jean (Zuleger) Diemel (71) left this life to be rejoined with her husband Gerald “Jerry” Diemel on Sunday, November 4, 2018, for eternity. She was surrounded by family and an exponential amount of love at the time of her passing.

Bev had many roles in her lifetime, wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, friend, neighbor, bus driver, custodian, the list is very long….and to each of those she brought an undeniable spirit, tenacity and dedication. To say she was hard-working and passionate in anything she took on is an understatement and clearly does not do it justice.

Born to the late Richard and LaRhea Zuleger, Dec 9th, 1946, in the Town of Maine. She graduated from Shiocton High School in 1965.

On July 3, 1965, she married Jerry Diemel at St. Lawrence Parish in Navarino, WI. They were married for 53 years; until the time of his passing just three months ago.

Bev was employed by the Bonduel School District in a Bus driver; custodial capacity until her retirement.

Bev has four children; Susan Johnkins, Bill (Stacy) Diemel, Sarah (Dennis) Bohm, and Brian (Stacy) Diemel; and eight grandchildren, who called her Grammie, whom she adored and hands-down considered her greatest accomplishment in life – Sabrina, Jaden, Parker, Trevor, Elliott, Garrett, Connor and Carson.

Bev is survived by five siblings: Marilyn Klosterman, Vern (Diane) Zuleger, Lyle (Jean) Zuleger, Eugene (Kathy) Zuleger, Phil (Regina) Zuleger; two sisters-in-law, Jean (Roger) Zuleger, Judy (Donald) Zuleger; several nieces and nephews; and the Diemel family.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Donald Zuleger; a sister, Lorraine Catt; two brothers-in-law Leroy Catt and Laverne Klosterman; a step-brother, Jack Zuleger; and a step-sister Doris Shepard.

Parkinson’s disease, the evil adversary that it is, tried to rob her of freedom and mobility early in her life, but she did not let it win without mounting an unbelievable fight over the last 16 years. That fight ended Sunday and through the grace of god she can freely get back to the things that she enjoyed so much – gardening, yard-work, making sure that not a thing was out of place, rides with Dad, grandkids school and sporting events, spending time with family and driving (Mom – you finally get to drive the Caddy!) She may not be with us to do these things in the physical world – but her free spirit will be actively with us forever.
